Sports Shorts: First, Cleveland chose the name the Guardians to replace Indians)and now Washington has chosen Commanders to replace Redskins. Other teams should change their nicknames to reflect the caring and protection that professional sports proffers to all.

The New York Giants will now be known as the Defenders (of the Constitution)

The New York Jets will now be known as the Propers (Pronouns)

The Oakland Athletics will now be known as the Everybody (gets to play) and are petitioning MLB to give success ribbons to every MLB team that finishes the season.

The San Francisco Giants will now be known as the Peace Keepers

The LA Chargers will now be known as the Careful Everybody

The Boston Red Sox will now be known as the (all colors are) ACA Nice Sox

The Cincinnati Bengals will now be known as the Vegans

The Dallas Cowboys will now be known as the Protectors OAP (Of All People)

The Washington Wizards will now be known as the Wise Counsel

The Cleveland Browns will now be known (very obvious) as the Rainbows

The Toronto Raptors will now be known as the Menders

The Milwaukee Brewers will now be known as the Helpers

The LA Dodgers will now be known as Cher
